Crafted using traditional and modern hammering techniques for enriched, vintage sounds.
The 14" K Constantinople Hi-Hats offer a remarkable blend of softness, delicacy, and subtlety, without sacrificing clarity. Their unique and ultra-warm character, with a dark undertone, makes them a perfect choice for acoustic jazz performances and studio recordings. Despite their dry and warm "chick" sound, these hi-hats possess a rich and full-bodied quality, ensuring they command attention in any musical setting. The collaboration with esteemed maestro Elvin Jones played a significant role in their development.
A notable transformation has taken place with the 14" K Constantinople Hi-Hats. Drawing inspiration from the features found in the 15", 17", and 19" K Constantinople Crashes, these hi-hats now incorporate advanced hammering techniques. This innovation allows the cymbals to unveil a broader range of dark overtones, increased distinctiveness, and enhanced musicality. Furthermore, the addition of a pin lathe on both the top and bottom surfaces of each cymbal creates an extra tonal groove, adding to the overall complexity of their sound. Not only does the pin lathe contribute to the sonic qualities, but it also lends a vintage aesthetic reminiscent of the revered K series from the past.
