The HCS Trash China cymbal has specially cut out holes that give the cymbal what drummers call a "trashy" effect, a sound that is highly popular throughout any style from progressive rock to fusion and funk. This cymbal is perfect for crash riding when music levels peak, accenting fills, or using it in a cymbal stack configuration by placing it directly underneath or on top of another cymbal.
China cymbals have a unique sound effect that is formed by having a lip on the edge of the cymbal. This special shaping morphs the sound into a more edgy and brash tone. A combination of the shaping and holes dry out the sound, leaving the trash china with a short sustain but full of personality.
